Yagyu Shinkage Ryu
Kenjutsu substyle a school founded by Takenaga Hayato from Sendai. During the Tokugawa era (early seventeenth to mid-nineteenth centuries), this school was the most influential shool of fencing in Japan. It produced many excellent swordsmen from the Yagyu family.
The Shinkage style is cautious, compared to many Kenjutsu styles, and emphasizes disarming techniques.
